The Maize Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining and improving the essential infrastructure and services that keep our community safe, functional, and thriving. From streets and stormwater systems to parks and public facilities, our team works year-round to support the quality of life that residents of Maize enjoy.

Our Responsibilities

Public Works oversees a wide range of services, including:

  • Street Maintenance and Snow Removal: Regular upkeep of city streets, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, and snow removal operations to ensure safe and accessible roadways.
  • Public Facilities: Maintaining publicly owned facilities such as City Hall, Maize City Park & the Clair Donnelly Amphitheare
  • Water Service: Management of water distribution system, including meter reading, installation, and maintenance, to provide residents with reliable and safe water services.
  • Wastewater Management: Operation and maintenance of the city's sanitary sewer lines and wastewater treatment facilities to ensure efficient waste processing and environmental compliance.
  • Stormwater Management: Implementation of systems and practices to manage stormwater runoff and protect water quality within the community.
